Animal control and the shelter are your resource; here you have people trained in handling animals and animal behaviors, people with the experience and references to help you and your animal with obedience training, to work past behavioral issues, or to help the neighbor quiet their noisy dog.
Jaywalking
A jaywalking ticket fine is $76.50, the Rexburg Police Department offers a class to help violators reduce the fine. Requirements for the class are a payment of $25.00 cash or check; attending a 30 minute class that is offered once a month, and 1 hour of crosswalk duty. Once the class and crosswalk duty have been completed a dismissal letter will be sent to the City Attorney to sign off and then to the Madison County Courthouse for the judge to dismiss.
Texting in a crosswalk
There is no texting while using a crosswalk in the City of Rexburg. The first offense fine is $101.50, the second offense is $201.50, and any other offense after that will have a $51.50 court cost added to the previous amount.
Driving while texting
Driving while texting is a $133.00 fine, second offense $51.50 is added each time to the previous fine.
